Privacy policy
The short version: we only collect what you give us to join the newsletter, we use it only to send you the newsletter, and we never sell it.
What we collect
When you join the newsletter we store your email address and, if you choose to give them, your dog's name, breed and age group. We also record the page you signed up on, the website that referred you, your approximate country and region (worked out from your connection by our host, Cloudflare), the date and time you agreed to receive emails, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address that we use only to block spam signups.
Why
We use this to send you the BarkLinks newsletter and to make it relevant: tips for your dog's breed and age, and content for your country. The newsletter may include sponsored sections and affiliate links. We may tell sponsors how many readers we have in a group (for example "owners of puppies under a year old") but we never share or sell your personal details.
Where it's stored
Your details are stored in a database hosted by Cloudflare. When we start sending, we'll use an email service provider to deliver the newsletter, and they'll process your email address on our behalf.
Your choices
Every email will include a one-click unsubscribe link. To see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, contact us and we'll do it promptly. We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Cookies and analytics
BarkLinks doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Our host may collect basic, anonymous traffic statistics.
